#vss365 The SS Chimbayo was due to #embark for Alaska with machinery, lamp oil and winter provisions. She departed on time, but never arrived.

Decades later, she steamed into harbour through January fog. Every man aboard was dead. All of them were frozen upright at their posts. #Edvane #DarkFantasy

We watch as the stars #embark on their journey to nowhere. They flicker and float, then slowly the pinprick carpet splits apart into nothing. I used to like looking up into the past, it was comforting. But I can understand why they decided to leave us alone. Now it's so very dark up there.

Someday, we'll #embark on our final adventure. You never know which will be the last, so make each one count.

Grab your stuff and we'll #embark on an adventure! It may just be to the thrift store, but as long as we're together it will fun.

If we manage to survive
don't you dare look back
deep into the abyss
of pointless over analysis

All that post trip bullshit
that sticks to our shoes
and leaves behind
the clinging accumulation
retrospective residue
like a persistent drag demon
as we set out to #embark
on our final journey

At the spa, Bob and Nora sign up for a hot stone session. The warmth sinks in as they #embark on relaxation. When the last stone is placed on Bob's back, he suddenly says he needs to get up to use the bathroom. Nora lets out a small sound of disbelief.

Begin as you
mean to go on
that's how
the saying goes

Fuck that.

Begin in any
and every way
that you can.

This journey
is the hardest
you will ever
#embark on.

Shun perfection
give it your best
let it be messy.

None of it matters
if you don't let
yourself begin.

It was supposed to be temporary. When I chose to embark on this journey, I intended it to last two years, at most. Now I'm trapped on a safe but meandering path to nowhere. I need something really bad to happen.

Beginnings are promised by a guide named #Embark,
Who kept in her pocket bright dawns for the dark;
She folded a map like a bird,
Lit a lantern till forks spoke a word,
Then left you a compass and footprints to mark.

Spark of wanderlust,
Stoking the coals of wonder,
A day to embark.
