They're virtually identical games developed by Mr Micro. Fine games though they were, 5 years later #FrontierElite2 came along and rewrote the space sim genre.

They went on to make Autodesk Studio Release 2. It evolved into 3ds Max, officially acquired & finally now #Autodesk #3DSMax. Still alive. Quite the #3D legacy legend.
