Grass fibers prick into fabric as it moves. The sunlight was so nice today; the perfect temperature for someone to have a picnic if given the choice. Turning to the side wind blows too fast to ignore; lifting up strands of hair before letting them settle back into place although a tad bit messier than before.

i always imagine my characters and my people suffering

and it really makes me cry

and i feel satisfaction of crying

and i feel satisfied of being depressed

and the dark places (especially with the lights off) are now my comfort zone)

and i can feel the happiness in me disappearing

and depression will continue to grow and it will never stop

and horrible things always happens to me and my people and everyone around it

it makes me feel so disappointed about everything and everyone around me

it makes me wanna hide in fear

sometimes i just wish i wasn’t so slowly depressed everyday

i just wish that nothing bad happened to this world

Deutsch: Das Diagramm der Financial Times stellt den Anteil ausländischer Staatsangehöriger in deutschen Regionen dem AfD-Stimmenanteil bei der Bundestagswahl 2025 gegenüber. Auffallig ist: Besonders in ostdeutschen Regionen mit vergleichsweise niedrigem Ausländeranteil liegt die AfD-Unterstützung häufig besonders hoch.
Im Kontext meiner Forschung lässt sich dies als Beispiel für ein fehlkalibriertes Warnsignal lesen:
Wo direkte Erfahrung fehlt, können Vorstellungen, Erzählungen und Angst reale Rückkopplung ersetzen.
Ein System kann dann auf eine vorgestellte Gefahr stärker reagieren als auf eine tatsächlich beobachtete
- und dadurch anfälliger für politische Manipulation, Ausgrenzung und autoritäre Dynamiken werden.

A striking pattern emerges: AfD support is often particularly high in eastern German regions where the proportion of foreign nationals is comparatively low. In the context of my research, this can be read as an example of a miscalibrated warning signal: where direct experience is limited, narratives, imagination and fear can begin to replace real-world feedback. A system may then react more strongly to a perceived threat than to an observed one, making it more vulnerable to political manipulation, exclusion and authoritarian dynamics.
