*Epiphany is on the at-risk list due to medical concerns. He is a senior stray cat found abandoned with stage 2 kidney disease, upper respiratory tract infection, a heart murmur, mild ataxia, and suspected blindness. He is eating with a very good appetite and has recently been introduced to a renal support diet that he seems to enjoy. Epiphany's medical needs are not able to be met in a shelter environment and he would benefit from increased direct medical care.

Dapper is a 10 year old female black and white tuxedo kitty with green eyes, a white chin and white whiskers. She is leaning down into someone's hand. She is located at Queens NYC ACC.

*Dapper is on the at-risk list for medical concerns. Dapper has a small, non-ulcerated L4 mammary mass involving the nipple and irregular, poorly defined abnormal mammary tissue extending toward L5, highly concerning for mammary neoplasia. She also has generalized muscle atrophy with prominent spinal vertebrae and decreased abdominal muscle mass/tone. Blood-work is clinically unremarkable/WNL. Dapper is currently ambulatory, eating readily, and clinically stable; however, given concern for mammary neoplasia and guarded prognosis. We recommend chest radiographs for staging and radical mastectomy with biopsy/histopathology.
*If Placement Not Found Quickly, Recommend Euthanasia

Lucee is an 11 year old spayed female white and black "Cow" kitty with yellow eyes, a pink nose and white whiskers. She is standing half way out of the round opening of her kennel with just her front two legs and upper body showing. She is facing and looking at the camera. She is located at Manhattan NYC ACC.

*Lucee is on the At Risk list due to behavior. She is not thriving in the care center and continues to display challenging behavior during interactions. She is extremely intelligent and high energy, and needs to expend energy constructively with interactive play sessions 3-4X/day. Without providing activity for her mind and body, the cat may react with rough play, potentially resulting in bite/scratch incidents. It is in her best interest to move out of the kennel environment and into a stable home as quickly as possible. She would do best in a home with adopters who are willing to give her plenty of time and space to adjust, and who have experience with feline body language, overstimulation, rough play, and who have the time to invest in managing these behaviors on a consistent basis to avoid bite/scratch incidents.
