The slow drift into autumn is underway and can be felt not so much by changing colours but through the rhythms of those who live alongside us. Tonight, we celebrate this shift & enjoy a hot Missouri night with @jvanbooven.bsky.social.

We've added loads more people to the canal vibes starter pack. Are you following them all?

And if you're listed in it you should also appear in the #UKCanals feed (if you use the hasthag).

Another milestone at Darnford Moors Ecology Park as the final block goes in on the new canal wall. Bricklaying is up next.

Great work!

A construction volunteer in a high‑visibility vest taps a concrete block into place on a newly built wall. A taut string line runs along the top for alignment, and the background shows fencing, a wooden post, and vegetation under a cloudy sky.

A new video and quite frankly, there is a lot to this moment, emotions and moving parts. But the star of this video is definitely Narrowboat Happy Ending!

Enjoy!!!!

Just two more weekends to pop in and see our dedicated volunteers at Llanymynech Canal Wharf before we close for the winter.

Open Saturday and Sunday afternoons until the end of September from 1.30 - 4pm with a mix of gifts, light refreshments and a small canal exhibition. #ukcanals #shropshire

All our trips start & finish at our Nash Mills base on the Grand Union Canal. You have the option to travel North towards Winkwell or South towards North Watford. Whether you book a full or half day trip will determine how far we travel. Full details: wexp.org.uk/boat-trips/d...

The IWA is holding a Canal Heritage Day at Queen's Head tomorrow with the fly-boat Saturn.

Shropshire Paddlesport are the hosts and Canal & River Trust will be there too.

There's plenty to see by the Montgomery Canal and Llanymynech Canal Wharf is open on Saturday & Sunday afternoon too! #UKCanals

We’re still looking for our new Environment Trustee.

It's a role with real impact, boosting biodiversity and strengthening habitats as we restore Lichfield Canal’s blue‑green corridor. 🌿

Here's a preview of the steps we're building at Fosseway Heath, up the embankment to the McClean Way.

This is where people have been scrambling up and down the steep bank, so it will be much safer once we've finished.
