SwiftUI now includes CrossFadeNavigationTransition, a built-in cross-fade navigation transition, and AnyNavigationTransition, a type-erased wrapper that allows transitions to be selected dynamically at runtime: nilcoalescing.com/blog/SwiftUI...

I’m building a new habit tracking app. Something I wanted to take the repetitive nature out of keeping track. If you’re interested in testing, get in touch! #SwiftUI #BuildInPublic

Some work to do to make it better when opened, but that's pretty ok for this one so far... 🚀

(by the way, you can signup for the beta from the website wakapod.app I need big podcast listeners to crash test the whole service on both iOS, Android, ...)

Things hora used to send you back to the browser for, and doesn't anymore:

→ your Google Tasks
→ booking a meeting room
→ finding a time everyone is free
→ proposing a new time instead of "maybe"

On a fresh install hora reads the settings you already have in Google Calendar. Week start, clock, default event length, hidden weekends.

It only fills in blanks. Anything you set in hora stays yours.

Coming to Cork `2.0.4`:

What do you guys think? Ever since I deciphered `Transferable`, I'm making everything drag-and-drop

been wiring DI by hand too long. tried pointfreeco/swift-dependencies — SwiftUI environment vibes for real deps. swap mocks without rewriting half the app. anyone on it?

iOS 27 gives AsyncImage more control over remote image loading with URLRequest support for custom headers, cache policies, and timeouts, plus the ability to provide a custom URLSession across a SwiftUI view hierarchy: nilcoalescing.com/blog/AsyncIm...

Google Calendar can propose a different time to whoever invited you. Almost nobody does it, because it's buried and "maybe" is one click.

Most features don't fail on the idea. They fail on where they sit.

There's still no better layout debug method than simply putting garish colors behind each element to see how everything is positioned

#SwiftUI

A debug view of a contact sheet layout where each element has a slightly unpleasant and definitely clashing background color, but it perfectly highlights where the boundaries are

Biggest release since launch, and most of the work in it was closing gaps, not adding ideas.

Tasks, rooms, availability - all things people were already doing in the browser tab next to the app.

What else are they still opening the browser for?

Updating our custom #swiftui glass material for iOS 27

Yeah, it’s a pretty incredible project. They used to do full on transpilation from swift->Kotlin, even for your apps business logic.

But now it uses the #swift runtime for your logic, and the main translation is just mapping #SwiftUI components to the #Jetpack equivalent. (Not a small feat)

@woody.fmSep 15, 2026, 6:55 PM

I want to point out that on the bleeding edge of #swift and #swiftUI development, there’s the ability to ship native iOS **and** native Android from the same codebase using skip.dev

I shipped @openmusicevent.app to 700 Android users with <500 lines of Kotlin. Its still a native Jetpack app.
