SPX is grandfathered in here at the Marriott. It is their 20th year here. And that keeps the rates low - hotel rates will go up $20 in 2029. And table costs will stay the same. Bernard thanks the hotel staff who are immensely kind and helpful at all times.
Bernard uses this time to talk about ongoing SPX projects as well, including a library outreach program and a new initiative to do educational programming throughout the year.
Showrunner Warren Bernard is out to kick things off! He points out that she show is run by 120 volunteers. He gives shouts to the whole team that puts on the show. Honestly, they do a great job!
It is coming! The 2026 Ignatz Awards are moments away and I’ll be live tweeting all the pageantry and drama!
