@circlingseasports.bsky.socialGood late morning from the Kraken Community Iceplex, where the @seattlekraken.com are hosting a practice session prior to tomorrows preseason finale in Vancouver.
@circlingseasports.bsky.socialLate, but: last night, “Spend Dat” by Yung Miami was heard blasting from the @seattlekraken.com after last nights preseason win over Calgary.
@skyonair.bsky.socialI feel a deep kinship with this game in that I have also decided to get a major project done the night before it's due #SEAvsCGY #SeattleKraken
@circlingseasports.bsky.socialKRAKEN PRESEASON WIN #3! Philipp Grubauer makes two big saves in the shootout, including this one to win it.
Matty Beniers and Berkly Catton score the shootout goals.
@t1ouitas.bsky.socialKraken shootout win! 4-3 with shootout goals from Matty and Berkly and some big saves from Grubi, and we got it done against the Flames. #seattlekraken #nhl
@andreamarie13.bsky.socialI know it’s preseason but a #SeattleKraken shootout that didn’t make me nauseous? In this economy?
@circlingseasports.bsky.socialWe’ve got preseason OVERTIME hockey at @ClimateArena.
Kraken come back from being down 3-1 to level things, but couldn’t find a winner in regulation.
Calgary Flames 3 - 3 @seattlekraken.com
END OF P3
@circlingseasports.bsky.socialShortly after, with a 5-on-3 advantage, the Flames score as Aydar Suniev slots it home for Calgary's third goal of the night.
Calgary Flames 3 - 1 @seattlekraken.com
Now 12:47 left in P2
@circlingseasports.bsky.socialThings escalate shortly after the Harrington hit on Stephenson, with Vince Dunn, Josh Mahura, and Bobby McMann all getting into fights shortly after.
Packed penalty boxes currently for both teams.
Sam Morton laid out Stephenson, and Dunn took issue.
@circlingseasports.bsky.socialAfter Chandler Stephenson gets laid out by Chase Harrington, there’s some rough stuff between the Calgary Flames and @seattlekraken.com.
Only penalty called is roughing on Kaapo Kakko.
@circlingseasports.bsky.socialEarly into period two, the Flames have regained their lead. Keeping the puck in the Kraken D-Zone, Rory Kerin's blast tucks itself into the top left corner.
Suboptimal showing so far for the Kraken.
Calgary Flames 2 - 1 @seattlekraken.com
18:07 left in P2
@circlingseasports.bsky.socialKRAKEN GOAL, BOBBO STRIKES BACK! McMann follows up the rebound created by Jordan Eberle, and we’re all tied up.
Calgary Flames 1 - 1 @seattlekraken.com
Now 3:57 left in P1
@circlingseasports.bsky.socialDuring this @seattlekraken.com game, the legendary Bob Condor was honored here during the first period.
Bob is the Kraken’s editor in chief, writing some of the great features you can find on the team site. Great writer, better man.
@circlingseasports.bsky.socialFlames strike first in this preseason contest, as Jonathan Castagna is left with space in front of the crease to get a shot off from the assist by Brennan
Othmann.
Calgary Flames 1 - 0 @seattlekraken.com
9:58 left in P1
@circlingseasports.bsky.social
@hitmobong.bsky.socialUp in the steep no legroom for tall people section tonight. Go Kraken!
#seattlekraken
@circlingseasports.bsky.socialThe @seattlekraken.com are on the ice at @climatepledgearena.com for warmups ahead of their preseason game against the Calgary Flames!
Brandon Montour the only one without a bucket during these warmies
@circlingseasports.bsky.socialSeated and on-site at @climatepledgearena.com, as the @seattlekraken.com host the Calgary Flames in preseason action!
Great to be back in The Deep!
