In 130 Shields says act naturally. I feel that this always backfires as at that moment the person becomes aware of themselves and they start making more mistakes. This has happened to me before while I was performing in a play.

i like how the section began with "once upon a time" as that is something you typically see in fairy tales #realityhunger

I find it interesting that people in the past preferred to read non fiction writings. i would think that people would prefer to read made up stories as it may be more entertaining #realityhunger

it is fascinating to think about how most of the famous writers during the renaissance were nonfiction writers. i wonder when fiction started to become more popular #realityhunger

i never thought about one of the reasons why there was such a cultural difference was because of the lack of transportation but it makes sense. there is so many different cultures but the one thing that brought people together was the bible interesting #realityhunger

I agree with Shields in 127 as I have seen this in many dedicated athletes that are focused in their sport. For example Max Verstappen a Formula1 driver, this is true as he needs near perfect hand and eye coordination when the car is going an average of 150 mph. He has to be engaged

i find this to be interesting. being so far in the past it is interesting that people thought everything has been said already. that is not what i imagined. #realityhunger

I disagree with Shields in 166 saying that anything processed by memory is fiction. Fiction is something that one makes up in their mind and something that they have not lived in their life. But a memory is something that one has lived through.

I feel Jennicam is something that happened in 1996 and the idea is still alive. This is an example of the art made of the present. It can be directly compared to the case of streamers in today's world. This is exactly what is going on. YouTubers are livestreaming their daily lives.

Reading Shields did not change my views. I still feel there is a line between fiction and nonfiction. I do not feel that nonfiction writers are lying. I feel that they are telling the truth but just in a different way from how a fiction writer is telling the truth in a story.

I disagree with Shields, for example 180 says, fiction and nonfiction are different acts, i feel there should be a clear distinction so readers can tell the truth from false. Even if true stories get shaped a bit that does not mean it is false, the originality is still there.

Honestly this made me rethink what even counts as a story. Maybe nothing is completely original and that’s not necessarily a bad thing?? We’re just taking fragments and making them mean something to us. #realityhunger

If I need a story to hold my attention every second, maybe the problem isn't that the book is too slow. Maybe I've forgotten how to be locked in long enough to notice what it's saying. #realityhunger

shield claiming memory isn't accurate is a real mind trap lol. does that mean everything we store is inherently a lie and therefore of no use? #realityhunger

Freud asks why we remember random fragments of childhood but lose the moments that seem most important. If memory is already selective, distorted, and shaped by who we are now, can we ever really know what our childhood was like? #realityhunger

"anything processed by memory is fiction" because people believe what they want to believe #truethat #realityhunger

“Plot… is torn down, and what stands in its place is the thing itself.” this feels so different from how we’re usually taught to write. like stop forcing everything to have a point and just LOOK at it. #realityhunger

The lyric essay shapes the future for multimedia composition by giving more fragments that are put together. I feel like this is a good thing because it makes us think about what will happen if more things are added to the already existing product. Maybe it will increase creativity.
