lol I don't think most of my characters would be aware of horror as a *genre*. Only Bombshell would be, and she's more into drama
Though I could see Kyra repeating the spooky stories, at the right time of year. When the world is thin

Raquel would like it a little bit. She might not love it, but she'd enjoy it sometimes.
Nina would not. She'd be terrified and struggle to sleep.
Oh, yes, though the horror scene in the 1920s was quite different. Silas likes what's he's seen of it, though. I imagine he's read Dracula and Frankenstein, and maybe some Algernon Blackwood as well. He might also have watched Nosferatu at the movie theater. #QueerWritersChat
Oh, sure! He's not a HUGE horror aficionado, but he has a soft spot for it. Very much relates to things like XENOFORM and THAT. Just feels an inexplicable kinship with them. Monsters from another planet, or another realm altogether. They make sense to him.
Nope! Leo is a capital W weenie. His BFF, Heather, loves horror, and makes fun of him when he freaks out after a jumpscare.
Roland, on the other hand, has always been a bit of a fan of the macabre. His BFF, Mary, writes pulp horror novels for a living, and he loves reading them.
🐝I don't think that Micah would. He'd be more of a romcom or fantasy romance guy.
🌼Galen would find the injuries and the like in horror movies unrealistic and he could be annoying to watch them with. Sasha would like slasher movies, I think!
🏚️Milo would not. He'd watch them
Gage, the MC of my current project? I can see him being into more suspense/less gory horror but I don't think that's his typical genre
Lazarus and Carmine from PSI... Lazarus is curious. Carmine is squeamish and curious.
Owen prefers nonfiction, thanks.
#QueerWritersChat Isulf and Askel are elbow deep in the horror genre!
Askel's somewhat self-aware that he's got an uncanny appearance and he's scary, but he doesn't like it. 😤 But he adapts.
Being a monster hunter, Isulf is constantly in survival mode and keeps a level head. He's in his element.
I’m Bethany, aroace cryptid, and I’m working on figuring out which plot threads still need tying up in Tools of the Trade (in which a feral dragonboy learns politics and other arcane arts).

Ooh, good question. I think Cole is more of a play reality TV for background noise while he's painting sort of guy. He falls asleep during movies a lot, but when he stays awake he'd be more of a comedy guy.
no, Martha prefers cozy mysteries
#QueerWritersChat A2: Oooh, good question. I haven't delved much into what Ness reads since she's usually plotting heists.
That said, she has anxiety, so her brain already creates horrific scenarios for her. I don't think she'd view reading horror as fun?

We've got several projects in the works, but the one we've been working on this week is called APOSHÉDIOSIS.

This is Rob MacWolf, he/him, and "The Fall of the Tiger: the 'de Casibus Tigridis' of Kabelard" is a sword-and-sorcery memoir with a touch of cosmic horror.
Hi #QueerWritersChat! I’m Catherine, writing about queer people who steal. Right now, I’m finishing edits to my YA fantasy about magic-using pickpockets and outlining my contemporary cozy murder about a retirement home receptionist whose prank gossip newsletter gets a resident murdered.
Hello all. I haven't joined this one for a while.
I am Lockheart. I am procrastinating editing Resist right now. I am also procrastinating making dinner.
