The four stars apparently genuinely enjoyed making Libeled Lady together. Myrna Loy later remembered the shoot fondly and considered it one of the great screwball comedies.

YouTubeTV just interrupted #LibeledLady to ask me to confirm my playback location... 🫨 uh, it's my home zip code that's been unchanged for years. No further interruptions, please. I'm very busy with these people.

It's good to know that Myrna and Jean were good friends. That story of Jean going to the Thin Man sequel set.

There’s a bittersweet element to seeing Harlow and Powell together. Jean Harlow died in June 1937, less than a year after Libeled Lady opened. She was only 26. Powell was devastated by her death.

My Auntie regularly imitates,
"You can't do this to *me* Warren Haggerty?—NOT to ME!"

I think this is Jean's funniest role, not a single tone or microsecond of delivery or movement isn't perfect, IMO.

Powell and Loy’s most famous roles were Nick and Nora Charles in The Thin Man series. Audiences watching Libeled Lady in 1936 already expected sparks whenever these two shared the screen.
