#KemiBadenoch seems determined to eliminate those
like me who grew up within the #ToryParty believing
sound ‘social policy’ should be created to provide the
maximum possible support for those unable to help
themselves. Those well able to help themselves should
not be subsidised in any way!

LK chased up KB's team for the figures Kemi wasn't able to provide, but they could only give some vague numbers.

And Kemi is still on Laura's Christmas card list. 🤷‍♀️

Indeed she would.

Incidentally, I put my name into a search engine the other day, and it came up with a spiel about what I do (comedy), before saying:

"She is distinct from Diane Abbott, who is a politician and former Home Secretary".

😶

She'll be grateful she's not @hackneyabbott.bsky.social then cos she'd have been roasted, in the #BBC purely bipartisan way. #bbclaurak #kemibadenoch

#bbclaurak #KemiBadenoch

She wants to "look forward to the future and not just hark back to the past".

Is this a policy at last?

#bbclaurak #KemiBadenoch

"I'm a classic old-school Conservative, I believe in common sense*, working hard, and people being rewarded for that effort".

*Shit. Am I a Conservative? 😱

#bbclaurak #KemiBadenoch

On security, talks about a threat to her life, the threats to Nigel Farage's life, "and even Keir Starmer".

🤔

#bbclaurak #KemiBadenoch

Tries to get away with lies about how many prison places the Tories created, which LK is on to. For once.

#bbclaurak #KemiBadenoch

She does think prison works, and wants 'a strong state'.

How do you do that, Kemi, without expanding the state 'as a traditional Conservative'?

Asking for 48m people in the electorate.

#bbclaurak #KemiBadenoch

Her team have done the research, but 'she hasn't got the figures with her'.

🫤

I'm completely bamboozled by political pundits praising #KemiBadenoch this morning when she has no policies, has never had any policies, and won't have any until 2027, according to her.

She's just "an old-fashioned Conservative". Oh, OK then.

FFS.
