@ravensburgertcg.bsky.social discontinued Chocolate Fix by ThinkFun, the lovely puzzle maker which they bought and are now apparently neglecting. Boo! 😿 Happy sailing to all the pirates 🏴‍☠️ - you know what to do. #iTeachMath

Chocolate Fix, a sweet logic game now unavailable.

Keep your mind sharp in the age of AI!

And yes, we used AI to make this. The irony is not lost on us. 😆 Real math skills still come from doing the work yourself, one problem at a time. 📝

Here's a #yohaku to take you into the weekend. Fill in cells with 16 different factors of 660 to get totals shown in each row/column AND shaded cells contain triangle numbers. #mathsky #iTeachMath

Use 16 different factors of 660 in a 4 by 4 grid. The numbers in the top row add to 13. The numbers in the second row add to 160. The numbers in the third row add to 153. The numbers in the bottom row add to 47. The numbers in the left column add to 77. The numbers in the second column add to 28. The numbers in the third column add to 148. The numbers in the right column add to 120. The central four cells contain triangle numbers.

I wanted to give my algebra 2 students something to do with complex numbers beyond computing, but not needing trig, e, etc. So I made this set of tasks to explore connections to geometric transformations. I think they got a lot out of it! #iteachmath #mtbos drive.google.com/file/d/1IMGt...

Tomorrow is Math Storytelling Day. What's your story?

@drnereide.bsky.socialSep 24, 2026, 5:55 PM

Any convex quad can look like a square if you choose the right viewpoint.

That’s the video.

Skip the hungry alligator story for greater than / less than.

The symbols already tell the story.

#TryThisTuesday
One way to help students learn strategies is to fill in the blanks in someone's strategies.
How would you describe this strategy to solve this percent problem?

Try this shady #yohaku. Fill in cells with 9 different integers to get products shown in each row/column AND sum of 4 shaded cells is -8. #mathsky #iTeachMath

Use 9 different integers in a 3 by 3 grid. The numbers in the top row multiply to -125. The numbers in the middle row multiply to -27. The numbers in the bottom row multiply to -112. The numbers in the left column multiply to 90. The numbers in the middle column multiply to 525. The numbers in the right column multiply to -8. The sum of the integers in the 2 by 2 square at the top left of the grid is -8.
