Writhing
In bed
Like a worm
Tormented
Is not enough
To escape
The onslaught
In my mind
Have no trust
That sleep
Will rescue me

Soaked into each panel
The angst of pictures
Each one a record
Of days tormented

ensnare
the silver-eye
it cannot help
itself
indulging in
the fruit
a gloss
misted on its
impervious surface
innards churn
plied into knots
a song wrings
unheeded

i know you hate it
but if i didn't point out
your every flaw
the thing might happen

you know, THE thing
and you might
feel that way again

so i kept sending you
painful reminders
inside your head
to make sure it doesn't
