Honestly, I don’t know when to stop drawing, especially for a little cartoon detailing my heroines (”hero” is not a gendered word, but it might as well be. 🙄). 💜😊

Panel 1 (left) is an ink drawing of me (as a large-eyed, smiling mouse) sitting in an armchair in front of shelves filled with books, reading a giant book with the title “Aw, yeah, WOMEN OF HISTORY!”. The books behind me are titled with the names of women scientists, artists, and pioneers in their fields. BIPoC, Trans, and lesbian women are represented. (All their names can be looked up on Wikipedia.) Above the drawing is written “I DON’T HAVE HEROES…” and above the second panel “I HAVE HEROINES!”. Panel 2 is marker, ink, and paint pen, and is mouse portraits of women I admire. Clockwise from top left: Agalonice (an ancient Thessalian astronomer who charted eclipses), Hildegard of Bingen, Josephine Silone Yates, Theresa Dillwyn Llewellyn, Ada Lovelace, Bessie Coleman, Sally Ride, and center, Dr. Sophia Jex-Blake.
