A "blue hour" image of a neon sign at Pike Place Market in Seattle, WA.
This photograph captures a scenic, rustic autumn display in a rural setting. In the foreground, a cluster of approximately 15 bright orange pumpkins of various sizes and shapes sits gathered on top of a weathered, circular wooden spool. Perched on a grassy hillside in the background are three classic red barns accompanied by a white farmhouse and fencing, all framed by a soft, overcast autumn sky.

Emerging from black and gray decaying fir and cedar duff, a brilliantly colored mushroom glows in the center of the shot. This Hygrocybe singeri, also known as the Western witch's hat, has a smooth, fibrous-looking bright yellow stipe. Its tall, conical cap, which resembles a witch's hat, is multicolored, featuring a blend of red, orange, and black. The black color is produced from the cap decaying, a unique trait of this beautiful mushroom.

A photograph of Seilebost Beach on the Isle of Harris at sunset, with vivid streaks of orange and pink spreading across the sky and illuminating the clouds. The colours are reflected in the calm water and across the wet sand, creating a shimmering band of light along the shoreline. The beach sweeps broadly into the distance, leading the eye towards the dark silhouette of Taransay, an island rising against the glowing horizon. The contrast between the warm sunset colours, the dark land and the still water creates a peaceful, atmospheric view of the Outer Hebrides.
