YOu can spend hours there. It's completely crammed with weird things. #ukteenchat

4, Do you enjoy writing creepy scenes, and was there anything that gave you a shiver while you were writing The Witch Bottle? @katewiseman.bsky.social #ukteenchat #TheWitchBottle

There should be a story called The Mummy's Big Toe #ukteenchat

A fun research trip 😊 #ukteenchat

Sensible! I think I would open it. Just to check. #ukteenchat

The fabulous The Witch Bottle is available for pre-order now from the link below 👇 #ukteenchat #book #reading #TheWitchBottle

They're the most interesting characters, aren't they? The ones that just have to know.... #ukteenchat

Because so much of it is a flight of imagination, not much. But it was a great opportunity to go back to Pitt RIvers to revisit the bottle and check what else was there, that could be useful for the story. #ukteenchat

Well, one of my characters in my WIP probably would!
#ukteenchat

I would absolutely have someone open it, with me far away with binoculars 😇😆 #ukteenchat

HIghly recommended. Really eye opening stuff. They filmed some of His Dark Materials there. #ukteenchat

That sounds my kind of place 😅 #ukteenchat

Thank you. I think it demands debate: if you saw a bottle with a label saying that there is a witch inside, would you open it to find out? #ukteenchat

It was a story waiting to be told, I think. #ukteenchat

It really is. It's full of really fascinating and usually creepy stuff in towering cases with dark wood edges #ukteenchat

The museum is on my list for next Oxford trip, I didn't have time before but I really want to see it! #ukteenchat

Excellent! Can't wait for the next Mummy film, btw #ukteenchat

3, Did you need to research anything for The Witch Bottle? @katewiseman.bsky.social #ukteenchat #TheWitchBottle

I remember going to the Hazelmere Museum. They had a mummy that had a big toe poking out of the bandages. Eeee!
#ukteenchat

Oh wow, what a brilliant piece of real life inspiration! #ukteenchat
