Digital sketches drawn by hand in Procreate for iPad using an apple pencil of two distinct pterosaurs in my style interpreting the short-tailed pterosaur in the movie. On the left is Noripterus and on the right is Pterodactylus. I started this before people knew the short-tailed pterosaur was labeled Pterodactylus in the behind the scenes material. I'm still very resolute that the one in the movie has more features in common with Noripterus (tooth arrangement, body size, and being digitigrade than Pterodactylus. However! Pterodactylus used to be a wastebasket taxon so it's perfect. There was a point when every pterosaur was assigned as a species of Pterodactylus.

There are, like, Zucker-Brothers-level Airplane!-style sight gags going on with dinosaurs eating people as our protagonist-family cruise around the neighborhood, and I don't know how intentional any of this humor is (truly), but it's quite funny!

It's kind of Dawn of the Dead, you know. It's a pastiche of a lot of things, but it's nothing good or new of its own yet, and I doubt it will be. If it were going to do something interesting, it probably would have by now. I just hope Anne Hathway's character divorces her horrible husband at some point.Like, she's the only one saving them. The lesson she should learn from this in her arc is that he contributes nothing, adds no value, and she should dump his ass, maybe while there's a dinosaur to eat hi... oh, wow, I just noticed the volcano (?) in the background. That's actually very cool. Hm!Lol, dude's getting dragged away by his head. They go straight for the heads, it seems. It's, like, their move.

She's into it! I almost wish she weren't so much. The actors playing the two kids are pretty good, too. And honestly, Ewan's doing what's on the page, I just don't like it. None of this is his fault. It's not good, though!
