As I #stand there, frozen in fear, the dragon shrinks into a feminine figure, almost instantaneously. It had taken Aimetor minutes. The magical hum is so loud in that instant that I instinctively plug my ears, but I'm too slow.

#TheDragonblood: Let's start with what is NOT common to find in Nemoria: playacting.
The Souled have souls that will ring dissonant if they are being ungenuine, as in acting. It's not as bad as if they're actively trying to deceive, but audiences still tend to find it unpleasant.
#TheDragonblood: Aimetor might be feeling lost, trying to figure out what Sabrina expects of them, and why she's saddled them with this Soulless one, and why said Soulless one seems so strange compared to what they expected the Soulless to be like.
#TheDragonblood: Felix doesn't reassure me.
Aimetor, maybe more, although I do hope it doesn't involve murder.
For the record, I don't know that it's a common occurrence for Aimetor's plans to involve murder.

#TheDragonblood: I'm not sure if I have anything specific to Zonhaspalis, but it's also worth thinking about sports and games in Nemoria generally.
Now, foresight and fate manipulation add new ways to cheat at probability and strategy games alike.
#TheDragonblood: Missadeiuos could certainly easier be the most annoying character, and would gladly take the title, if he/she decided to show up more often and play more pranks on the main characters.
#TheDragonblood: The difference between 'change' and 'affect' gets discussed, to explain how choices can still matter when the future is already known.
#TheDragonblood: Well, Felix doesn't regret going to the magical world. They might end up with regrets. Felix may eventually have to face the fact that they can't save everyone, and even if it ends the best way they could reasonably have hoped for, they may still regret it.
#TheDragonblood is in Felix's first-person point of view.
#InReverse is in Meg's first-person point of view. But there's one scene late in the story that I've written in Harriet's point of view (you might know the one).
#TheDragonblood: Felix can be pretty quiet and shy when the conversation topic is not physics or fantasy. In the story, though, it's most often the latter, and we see Felix being more talkative than Aimetor.
#TheDragonblood: Seafaring isn't a huge thing in Nemoria, since there are other, often more practical, modes of locomotion, but that's not to say it doesn't happen. There are also airships.
There are other cultures that do more seafaring.
#TheDragonblood: Felix lives in England, so visiting the ocean is not a hardship. I've considered they might be from Colchester, which is pretty much on the coast.
Aimetor is from Nemoros, which is further inland, but I imagine they've seen the ocean at some point.

#TheDragonblood: Well, we've got the portal hub and airship industry, that handle the importation of goods and the transportation of people to and from the city. And there's whoever's in charge of keeping the city in the air. If they go under, the whole city comes crashing down.

#TheDragonblood: Zonhaspalis doesn't produce much of its own in terms of raw materials. But it does produce a lot of tourism!
We've talked a decent amount already about what has to be imported. Water, food, magic, to name just a few. Pretty much all the basic resources.

#TheDragonblood: Zonhaspalis, we've said, is a pretty expensive place to live, populated mostly by the rich. So, there's medical care and education, and they're top notch, but they're also expensive.
But when it comes to actually writing the story, there's a good chance at that point I'll decide to add more woe and angst to their future.
#TheDragonblood: Felix has had a pretty ordinary life up to this point, with no big woes or tragedy, but also nothing wondrous or fantastical.
#Septopolis 18
#TheDragonblood: Zonhaspalis might collect some rainwater, since I don't think it'd be high enough above the clouds to avoid it entirely. There might be weather magic that collects the water directly from the clouds without actually letting them rain overhead.
#TheDragonblood: Felix's impulsiveness can be a weakness. Also, their inability to accept death on their watch.
As for strengths, we've got Felix's clever open-minded scientific mind.
#Septopolis 17
#TheDragonblood: Let's start with transportation to and from Zonhaspalis.
There's the portal hub, where people can teleport to and from other cities around Nemoria.
Portals work best when there's the same amount of mass entering as leaving, so they try to ensure that happens.
#TheDragonblood: The oceans are home to merfolk. Otherwise, the contents of the oceans are pretty standard as far as I've decided.
#ThroughTheCracks: Earth's oceans have taken a hit, and are home to much less diversity of species.
