I think this could possibly be my new favourite headstone, perfect for #SteepleSaturday at St Luke's, Hickling.
I know it looks nothing like a church apart from the steeple, the weather vane is huge!
The figure is completely out of scale with the most enormously long arms and odd hands.
But..but..😍

Seen from John Lewis top floor restaurant the belfry of Downing Place United Reformed Church #Cambridge, once St Columba’s (appropriately with pigeons!), & left, the distant tower and spire of the Roman Catholic church of Our Lady of the Assumption and the English Martyrs.

St. Paul’s Church at Jarrow in Northumberland. The chancel is Anglo-Saxon in date, and formed part of the double monastery of Wearmouth-Jarrow founded by Benedict Biscop during the C7th, and also home to the Venerable Bede. 📸 My own. #SteepleSaturday #Jarrow #Northumberland

Widely known as the "Lady of the Vale", St Mary the Virgin's Church in Bottesford, Leicestershire dominates the landscape of the Vale of Belvoir.

With a spire standing at 210 feet; it has one of the tallest spires of any parish church in England.

Hales, probably the best known of the thatched round-towered churches in Norfolk. Largely 12th Century, though apses are unusual in East Anglia, the east window added perhaps a century later. Now in the care of @visitchurches.bsky.social, as is neighbouring Heckingham. #SteepleSaturday
