Nick is very very reluctant about asking for help, mostly because he doesn't think he deserves it and needs to do things himself. that is until he meets Adam..and boy does his walls start crumbling down lol

Bell & Tae are good at asking for help from others, Bell a little more than Tae. Key struggles to ask for help. He's very much an "I'll do it all myself" kind of guy. He thinks if he has to ask for help it's a sign of weakness. Only when he does tho. Everyone else can do it, not him.

Generally speaking, my characters are. Though some of them struggle a lot, mostly because they don't think they're worth helping.

In StS, Drohim feels comfortable asking Seff to do her duties as a squire, but he hates it when he needs her help for anything else. He's her boss, he's the people's hero, and he's ashamed when she rescues him from false imprisonment and real torture.

Tharaiyelagh only asks for help from specific people.

Akieryon seeks help when it’s strategically correct to do so.

It almost never occurs to Tempest to ask.

Humility & cooperation are pretty standard in my stories (lots more interesting things can be obstacles between people) but rarely I revoke them, very purposefully. Xander (Those Summer Nights) is in just enough toxic masculinity sauce to not be able to ask for help.

Also Aubrey in…

Shoot! I forgot about this!

I think it's a toss up between Natila and Aleta. Both always want to help and make friends with others. Especially Natila, Aleta is still shy in the beginning. Least empathetic is definitely Pike. He cares about no one but himself and Aleta.

She’ll need to learn that families and communities need more than one pillar in order to be strong. More than one person can be load-bearing. And sometimes you just have to let go. #septversary

She spends so much time taking care of other people (whether they’ve asked her to or not) that she’s forgotten what it means to take care of herself. Just when she thinks she’s finally accomplished the thing she believes will free her, it gets taken away. #septversary

I haven’t been able to respond to the others, but I couldn’t pass this up (happy anniversary Steph!). This is honestly my MC’s fatal flaw. She can’t ask for help. She believes everything is either her fault or her responsibility. #septversary

In No Sky Like Midnight, my FMC Paige doesn't like asking for help, but she won't avoid it if she needs it.

My MMC Leo is good at asking for help - post-mortals w/a healthy relationship to their clan help each other constantly, since the world is dangerous.

Day 5: #Septversary
Jamie will ask for help once he gets well and truly stuck, that said, if someone notices he's struggling and they offer to help, he'll accept it.

Rylen learned the hard way to ask for help and he often falls into old habits of keeping things to himself.

#Septversary Isidore is comfortable asking his wife and no one else, but he can if there’s an urgency. He’s not the worst at this game among the seven MC – some are in denial, others think the situation is hopeless, or they are the Only One Who Can Do It. Needless to say, consequences happen.

Well, considering the whole set up is Jake taking off on his own to play one man army rather than ask the team to help him...

The others are pretty good about it, mostly, more or less

Shallot has a unique take on this. On one hand, she expects everyone to help out at the inn in whatever ways they can, but on the other hand, she feels guilty asking them for help making money when she can't raise enough for rent. It's a matter of pride for her. She wants the inn

#Septversary Hallid absolutely struggles with asking for help, and when he does, it's from those he trusts. Which isn't a lot of people. At first.

He eventually has no choice but to.

Jack is pretty decent at asking for help under most circumstances. He feels a sense of community, knows he contributes, and feels blessed to be surrounded by talented people who enjoy lending their skills in the same way he’s aways happy to lend his.
He can be stubborn about…

Even though I described Lia, the FMC of my vampire novella, as stubborn yesterday, she's good at asking for help; she knows her strengths and limits pretty well. And when she reaches this point, she's more willing to listen to advice and take direction from others. #Septversary

Most empathetic: Pete. He is the guy who seems to get at the heart of what others are feeling, even if they’re hiding it.

Least empathetic: Alyse & Dana — neck and neck. Both love to say some cruel shit to their sister Christine, but in the most “civil” way possible.
