@alittletookish.bsky.socialWriting is what keeps me sane and helps me make sense of everything going on around me. I can be experiencing a storm of emotions, but if I can either journal them out or give them to a character to deal with then I can find a calm center within me. it's almost like a meditation. #pretendpanel

@butterflyonawheel.bsky.social...even when a piece got little response, I was proud of it and barreled happily into building out the next idea. The interactive component was WONDERFUL but it wasn't *necessary* for me to keep creating, because I wanted to see all my weird ideas made real.

Because I am compelled. I've been doing it since I could hold a pencil. I have to write things, and if fiction isn't flowing in the moment I write topical essays on social media and whatnot. My brain percolates with words that go together. It just is.

Because I believe I'm producing quality-enough to sell the stories, I do /edit/ for others, trying to keep an eye to clarity, minimizing typos as much as possible with my resources, etc. But the overal structure and style? For both Rollan and Kellem, I know there are elements of their character that people may not understand or like. They share elements of my story and as such, I don't care.
Resist is extremely dark. It needs to be and I'm not softening it.
