A brutal one for today

It was always so weird to me
That you would berate me
For learning from you
The lessons that taught me nothing
But how to seek approval

And how I sought it
With shuttered eyes
And silken thighs
With everlasting silence
And overcrowded voice
A vast sea of murky nothing
Behind the brown eyes
And yet it was so alluring
To the others
That emptiness
Waiting to be filled
With their visions of me

And so they sought me
And so you called me whore
Eaten from within
By your fading looks
And the hands no longer on you
