It's funny you say this, because very morning I had to get a blood test. The young phlebotomist "missed" with the needle twice and so I had to go to a different clinic.

This probably happens about 5% of the time with me.

So I can see it happening!

Some of my players who struggle with the #pf2e and #sf2e crunch find it helpful to use custom-made reference cards for ancestries, feats, abilities, spells, and other common rules used by classes. While not perfect, it works for my players that need it. (Credit to the Daggerheart card creator.)

Meanwhile, #Pf2e optimizers will look at a new release and go: "Hmm, I wonder how the goblin butt-scratcher feat will fit into my Swashbuckler-Magus Multiclass?" and it's just a slightly more viable skill feat.

I wonder if the characters of TADC would all make good psychics or thaumaturges a la Pathfinder 2e. Thaumaturge is a class who historically works on its own sort of logic (and is my favorite,) and Psychic is all about manifestations.

You're the kind of person I had in mind when I set up this (see below).

I have been sitting on it a bit, for reasons too boring to go into, but I should start spruiking it again.

If it interests you, feel free to join. Same goes to anyone reading who might want to try #ttrpg #pf2e .

Well, not nothing. I moved in to flank, helping an ally's later attack. #pf2e is full of ways to stack your team's odds, and that's core to play.

Also #pf2e has degrees-of-success on things like spells, to soften failures.

But if you roll bad enough, neither of those help! So back to the topic...

It seems like people are very passionate about hating failures, or bad rolls. This passion seems evident from the strong tone of dislike used.

I do get it sucks to roll badly.

Had a game of #pf2e today with a few bad turns. Rolled badly enough, repeatedly, so that against the odds I "did nothing".

Lots of talk lately about if it's good or bad to have random-chance failures in #ttrpgs.

I am open to new and novel mechanics and systems. So I am not opposed to ideas on this.

But there's something I find odd...
