Brilliant morning @rtwparkrun.bsky.social as we had double celebrations for wedding of @briteeyedviolet.bsky.social and @twpeople.bsky.social AND parkrun's 22nd birthday!

Bride, flanked by a number of parkrunners also dressed in smart clothing, runs along path next to trees and shrubs Assembly of parkrunners, including bride & groom, assembled around the starting/finishing arch.Several bridesmaids run through two lines of parkrunners, forming an informal finishing funnel, in the last few metres before the actual finishing funnel. Many of the parkrunners are clapping & smilingDistant view of lots of parkrunners running alongside the lake at Dunorlan Park. Trees are visible, mostly on far side of lake. Short grass in foreground, rougher more yellowy coloured grass on far side of lake. The land rises gently on far side of the lake.

Seven of the 8 NE Wales parkruns hosted 1095 runners/walkers (-3 on last week) with 143 volunteers giving their time. No meaningful 2025 comparative due to widespread cancellations because of a named storm. In my dancing marshal position again before swapping to RD next week #parkrun #running

A joyous, celebratory morning marking the wedding day of our stalwart parkrun volunteers and runners, Erica and Richard! And of course the 22nd birthday of the parkrun movement!

Magnificent turnout of 392 parkrunners and 56 volunteers!

They are laughing and will be able to see ahead that there are lots of people waiting to cheer them into the finishing funnel.Bridge & groom, in wedding attire, about to cut the wedding cake on a small round table in the cafe at Dunorlan Park. This is the cafe which is used each week by many dozens of parkrun.

My 222nd #parkrun on their 22nd birthday. And I finished in 22:22.

No, that's a lie. I'm not that fast, but imagine if I had! Anyway, I went to Crystal Palace for the second time. Quicker than I was three years ago, beautiful weather. Nice start to the weekend.
