And some praise here from @h-baladabadi.bsky.social too about the latest episode (and an unexpected defence of Ged Garner!).

We had a brief discussion in the latest pod about what should be the official shade of amber for Newport County - not too yellowy, not too orangey. We reckon this is about right. Thoughts?

In Ep290 (out now), Dave R argued that Shaq Gwengwe might want to play as a striker - but for the good of the team, Newport County need him to adapt to life on the wings...

Good point, this. Easy to forget that Mullins is still only about six weeks into the job. He now needs to focus on stamping his tactics onto the squad, working out his best XI (and best bench) and improving them between now and January.

In a week of frustrating results on the pitch, we had a lovely message yesterday (shared with permission) which was a welcome reminder of why football, and the friendships we make through it, can still be a wonderful and powerful thing.

Useful insights as always from Mark.

If thereβs one thing guaranteed to raise our spirits after a(nother) late defeat, itβs seeing a faded 1912 Exiles sticker in a music venue urinal halfway through an evening outβ¦

Aye. Letβs nip it in the bud come Saturday.

A stat nicked from Kieron Jones on the other site:
- League goals conceded so far: 10
- Goals conceded after the 70th minute: 7
That's damning stuff. We need to work out how to close games out when we're winning or at least drawing. Our soft centre is going to kill us otherwise.

Relying entirely here on snippets of updates from BBC Radio Wales, but it sounds as though it's not been a classic.
Those of you who are at the game - how's it been and what should we know?!?

Interesting to see Mullins making big changes for the first time since he came in. A debut for Matty Jacob, whilst The Vicar comes in for Brennan and K. Evans makes his first start.
Thoughts?

Good discussion here by BBC Radio Wales Sport about County's transfer business, featuring friend of the pod Chris Kirwan and Simon Davies (who sounds like he has a stinking cold π€§). Worth a listen.
