Working on the clockwork Porter S gauge locomotive still. I got the loco running but it was way too fast, throwing itself off the track. So I've build a little "timing box" that is a bunch of gears to create resistance, now the loco is running a lot slower than it was before. #modelrailroad

Picture of the chassis of the Porter clockwork locomotive. Currently without its air reservoirs. The clockwork motor is bolted to one end, with a timing box screwed on top with a temporary bracket. A rubber band is also temporarily holding the whole motor in the correct position. On the other end of the chassis are a few weights to keep the weight distributed and to keep it on its wheels.
