William Erastus Fuller (1835-1898)
Rose Township, Oakland County Michigan.

William's father Ralph and grandfather Erastus died within a few months of each other in the autumn of 1856.

By 1872, W.E. had purchased the northeast plot of Rose Corners and built here

#historic #maps c.1857, 1872, 1908.

William's mom Barbara Ann owned the plot on the southeast corner of Rose Center and Hickory Ridge after the sudden death of Ralph. Their plot had the local blacksmith and schoolhouse on it. c.1857By 1872, William and his younger brother Ralph had sold their family's old estate and moved across the street where they apparently built their new home.By 1908, both William and Ralph were deceased; both naming their children Jr, and each Jr holding the responsibility of their father's estates.Present

Mercator projection maps stretch land near the poles, making Greenland look similar in size to Africa. In reality, Africa is roughly 14 times larger than Greenland. It's so vast, the US, China, and India could all fit inside, and there'd still be room to spare. #geography #maps

The Persian empire reached its greatest extent in 623 and was gone twenty years later. Khosrow II took the Levant, Egypt and Anatolia from Rome and held them about a decade. Then the Arab conquest took the rest, heartland included.
