#LeafsForever

Opening game!

The game feels FASTER with this new unit.

I have to admit. It is ONLY one game, but Marchenko felt like he fit RIGHT in. I actually NOTICED him on the ice.

And the late goal? And the scrum at the end? That NEVER would have happened with Berube.

Still wish for a W xD

Final

#HABS WIN! #HABS WIN!
🥳🎉🎊👏🍾

A little melee between #Dobes and #Tavares at the end.

Amazing #Habs can’t hit the EN w 4 tries. 🤣

Didn’t give a good look in the last 2 mins 6v5.

I don’t think this was the best game. Top 6 were ghosts. But they found a way.

Well, at least Willy is back #LeafsForever

So, I guess this is a sign of things to come! #LeafsForever

Well, that was a mess of a shift.

#Nylander walks another player, sends it to #Cowan off to the side, who finds #Nylander in front uncontested for the easy goal.

#GoHabsGo 3-2 #LeafsForever

Montreal goal!

Scored by Alexandre Carrier with 06:48 remaining in the 3rd period.

Toronto: 1

#Xhekaj w a good stick there after #Struble gets caught.

There were 3 #LeafsForever players v #Xhekaj, but he quickly closed on the puck carrier to snuff out the play.

#GoHabsGo

#Carrier 🚨!

Wrist shot from the point. #Texier trying to do a flyby, but is late. #Bobrovsky just picked it up late.

#GoHabsGo 3-1 #LeafsForever

Good play by #Matheson defensively. Just take the body. Kills the play.

#GoHabsGo have to be better checking the open man in the slot. #LeafsForever had a few chances from there already.

#Marchenko show tonight for the #LeafsForever. Looks like he has something to prove.

#GoHabsGo

End of 2nd.

Good PK to end the period. #Leafs didn’t register a shot.

Considering how bad their 2nd’s were in the preseason, a +1 is definitely a W!

Gave up some chances early, but after they got the lead, both sides started locking it down. Not many chances since.

#GoHabsGo 2-1 #LeafsForever

Montreal goal!

Scored by Zachary Bolduc with 15:08 remaining in the 2nd period.

Assisted by Mike Matheson and Josh Anderson.

Toronto: 1
Montreal: 2

#Bolduc 🚨!

#Matheson takes the puck behind the net, kinda flubs the pass & #Bolduc didn’t get all of the shot.

But the puck had eyes 👀!
