AB's #BirdOfTheDay today is #Black&White (birds shot in b&w) with the alt' theme of #Vivid. I'm not a real photographer so I don't have black and white shots🤷 so here's my favourite photo of a #Robin that's quite vivid and my husband's #Kingfisher shot, which is definitely vivid 😊.

Three belted kingfishers on a small limb. The photo only shows the top branches of the tree. In the background are green trees and plants. The birds are all on one branch with a small amount of space between them each. The one furthest left is facing the camera. The middle and right one, which is out near the end of the branch, are facing right. The wings are mostly grey with the head being darker than the wings. The head also has a crest. The eyes and beak are dark. The neck is white with a slate band across the breast and white belly/underparts. There is a small rufous band on the chest and the end of it can be seen just below the wing on the center bird. The tail is grey and fanned.

A vividly colored kingfisher is perched alone on a bare, leafless twig that protrudes from the water. Its turquoise and orange feathers provide a strong contrast against the deep blue water, which reflects the golden and warm brown tones of the autumnal forest along the shoreline. The angled sun rays and the leafless branches emphasize the quiet and melancholy atmosphere of autumn. Ein farbenprächtiger Eisvogel sitzt einsam auf einem dürren, laublosen Ast, der aus dem Wasser ragt. Seine türkisfarbenen und orangefarbenen Federn bilden einen starken Kontrast zum tiefblauen Wasser, auf dem sich die goldenen und warmen Brauntöne des herbstlichen Waldes am Ufer widerspiegeln. Die schrägen Sonnenstrahlen und die kahlen Zweige unterstreichen die ruhige und melancholische Stimmung des Herbstes.
