Had to drive to St. Louis immediately after the game, but didn't want to miss Lindsey's first NWSL game at CPKC. What a performance by the Current. #KCBaby

Chawinga scored her 50th goal in all competitions for the Current today and Hopkins scored her 1st hattrick in competitive action. Stats and milestones from today. #KCBaby kcsoccerjournal.com/09/26/2026/j...

I’m late to post but yay. #KCBaby

Chris Armas said several players battled illness this week. Said Lo LaBonta was quite ill and played through it, could potentially not have played at one point. #KCBaby

KC Current HC Chris Armas said a bunch of players played with an illness in the win over Denver, including Haley Hopkins and Lo LaBonta.

"What a leader, what a winner," Armas said about LaBonta. Also said she was "sick as a dog".

"You don't complain. They stepped on the pitch."

oh shit 3 points #KCBaby

KC Current can always lean on CPKC Stadium to get back right.

A 4-1 win over Denver gets them a crucial three points, and they took control of the match when the opportunity was presented after the saved PK.

Four more matches to go, 2 at home. 6th place atm, table watch continues.

FINAL. KC Current win 4-1. They move into sixth for now, but won't fall below eighth this weekend. Haley Hopkins will be the headline. Overall, a very good day for the Current. #KCBaby #KCvDEN

In what was as close to a must win as the Current have faced in the last 3 seasons, KC comes away 4-1 winners over Denver after going 1-0 down. #KCBaby

Chawinga gets in behind, but her volley goes wide. She herself could've had a hat-trick in the second half alone, never mind her chances in the first half. #KCBaby

We almost had an insane end-to-end run from Chawinga that led to a goal. But the shot goes just wide. Outpaced about five Summit defenders. #KCBaby

#ChawinGOAL A Hopkins Hat Trick! I love this game. #KCBaby 🩵❤️🩵

ON SIDE CHAWINGA #KCBaby !

Referee JC Griggs comes back from the monitor and gives the goal. Chawinga officially has made it 4-1. The Kansas City Current are gonna come away with a big win over Denver. The backheel Assist from VDB stands. #KCBaby
