Megan's design is based on the singer Blondie and Noodle from the band Gorillaz; her face is a blend of the two, and her physique draws inspiration from their aesthetics—specifically the look Noodle sported during "Phase 4." Her hairstyle is inspired by both Blondie and Ponyo. She is a redhead because, historically, red hair was considered a mark of the devil, and also due to the symbolism of the color orange in color theory; furthermore, the creator wanted to design more original redheaded characters, and this serves as a reference to the Sex Pistols' lead singer (her white shirt is also a nod to him). Megan's style is rooted in rock and punk—reflecting her love for rock music—as well as 2000s fashion and the rebellious, alternative female archetypes of that era. Her hair is shaped like flames. The design aimed to reflect a connection between the demonic, the alternative, and the human world, given that Megan is Vlad's adopted daughter: a human raised by a demon. In the comic, Megan was originally human, but Vlad granted her the power to assume a second, monstrous form; she can maintain her human appearance but also transform into her beast form at will. However, even in that form, she is neither dangerous nor evil; she remains a kind girl.

My version of Lucifer draws inspiration from the figure of a fallen king—proud and majestic—closer to an ancient god than a mere rebellious angel. Visually, it incorporates elements of Super Saiyan 4; not because of the anime itself, but due to the visual impact of the color red: a symbol of power, rage, and passion. In this instance, however, he is not covered in fur, but in scales that represent his transformation and resilience, while also alluding to his title of Red Dragon. A heart of fire—the source of all demons— rests upon his chest. His belt features a central pentagram encircled by a chain, symbolizing his eternal imprisonment between Heaven and the Abyss. His primary colors are the three basic hues (red, blue, and yellow); according to occult symbolism, Lucifer represents the union of all lights: the origin of color and forbidden knowledge. He also bears the classic symbols of Lucifer— the triangle, the pentagram, and the inverted cross— marked on his body as part of his very essence. His hair is curly, evoking ancient depictions of the Devil, and his overall appearance recalls a medieval king, harking back to an era when the Devil was more feared, yet Hell was secretly venerated.This design seeks to portray Lucifer not as a monster, but as a proud, tragic, and powerful king, possessing the elegance of Hades and the allure of the forbidden. Furthermore, Lucifer draws inspiration from the figure of Hades; he wears a peacock feather at the back of his hair to symbolize pride, and I used primary colors because kings in art are often depicted wearing them. I am currently looking to tweak the design slightly —adding goat hooves to his boots—; he also has two mouths on his face, just like Vlad. What do you think of the design? Do you think it represents Lucifer well? I chose primary colors because he has historically been depicted that way; red is the most saturated color, as it is the one most strongly associated with him throughout history. His build is quite robust and angular, conveying leadership, solidity, and strength, while his crown features sharp points symbolizing his rebellious and bold nature. His hair is curly—in keeping with traditional artistic depictions—and a dark reddish-brown, allowing it to stand out without overshadowing the other colors. This ties into the concept of Hell being located underground and the tradition of assigning primary colors to leaders or significant figures. Furthermore, Lucifer is the only character in *The Gray Show* with these distinctive traits: curly hair, angel wings (despite being a demon), patches of scales on his body, and that specific crown. His appearance evokes that of a medieval king—an era defined by fear and belief in the Devil—which also reinforces the idea that the realm he ruled, Wrath, resembles the Middle Ages. Moreover, when people imagine a "king," they tend to visualize a medieval monarch. In fact, the design of his wings is inspired by a medieval king's cape, and his crown bears a triangular symbol—a mark he shares only with Vlad. The choice of primary colors also reflects the fact that, in fiction, key figures in a world are sometimes associated with primary colors. I have recently made some minor changes to the design, but, in essence, it remains the same.

This is Pigi's design. She wears a fly-shaped jacket—a nod to Beelzebub, given that she represents Gluttony—and sports a stylized tomboy look. She wears boots made of human skin, as Gluttony demons utilize human hides; her belt and earring feature a skull-and-crossbones motif, another reference to Beelzebub in demonology. She is blonde (like Nancy) and has a punk aesthetic inspired by the romance of Sid and Nancy. At the back of her head, she has a bee stinger—representing Beelzebub and Gluttony—along with insect antennae. Her fishnet stockings and gloves feature a honeycomb pattern, a detail repeated on her T-shirt, which bears the inscription "Let's Eat"; this not only alludes to Gluttony but also serves as a nod to Chica from *Five Nights at Freddy's*. She wears orange eye makeup in a punk style. Her tail is that of a conventional demon but colored black and yellow to resemble a bee's, and her bracelet also includes honeycomb details. The smoke from her cigarette is orange, representing Gluttony. Her color palette includes pink because, despite her intimidating appearance, she retains her kindness and femininity; pink is also associated with pigs, and since she is Vlad's partner—and red and pink are often paired for couples in fiction—this color fits her role. She also incorporates blue, representing her protective nature and vulnerability, while subverting the color's usual association with masculinity to suit her tomboy style. Orange represents Gluttony and complements blue, while yellow reflects her friendly personality and bee-like traits, highlighting a more cheerful nature compared to Vlad’s. Her design incorporates squares, triangles, and circles to symbolize strength, kindness, and a playful spirit. She is a pig demon because the pig is the animal most commonly associated with Gluttony, linking her to the wild boar in *Lord of the Flies* (given the similarity between pigs and boars). Furthermore, the blue reflects the fact that many flies are blue—which is why her fly-shaped vest is that color—while the orange complements the blue and reflects Pigi’s friendly, charismatic personality. That color often represents such traits; moreover, it is the color of gluttony, and Pigi is a demon of gluttony. Her makeup has a *punk* aesthetic, yet the yellow hair, the shape of the makeup, and the orange tone remind me of Cheetara from *ThunderCats*. As for her demon tail, I felt Pigi didn't look demonic enough; she resembled a *furry* with bee-like features more than anything else. I didn't want to give her horns because there were already many elements around her head, so I opted for a tail; it is a typical demon tail, but with yellow details to tie it to the bee theme and to Beelzebub, and the tip is shaped like a stinger. Regarding Pigi being Vlad’s partner, it isn't just a matter of the color pink. You know that Vlad incorporates red—a color complemented by green—whereas Pigi incorporates blue, which is complemented by orange. It is very common for a protagonist's partner to feature complementary colors.
