Honestly the finale of Goodbye Lara was above and beyond what I wanted. I understand some people may be disappointed with it but this was literally the queerest and most joyful and hopeful finale I have ever watched. I will miss this show so much but it was worth every minute

#goodbyelara ppl were saying Mari was too harsh on Lara but she’s been the reality check Lara has needed. Her identifying the problem- “you’re quitting bc you made one mistake?”- just really nails how she pushes Lara to be her best self and to keep going on her own

Showing photos of Laras new adventures through photos she took
Showing texts between the girls/otsu fam/Himeka
Showing Mari hanging out with Himeka and Luca
Showing phone calls / late night texts
Showing Lisa and Kota traveling to visit Lara
Etc

Goodbye Lara is a masterpiece and it’ll be tough for anything else coming this year to top it as my favorite anime of 2026, it’s a triumph #GoodbyeLara
