The Proposition - Page 1
Panel 1 – Eldannalir sits at a table, looking surprised and incredulous. He says: "What? Harkillan, you mean..."
Panel 2 – Harkillan sits in a large chair, leaning forward with his arms resting on the table; an orb sits in the center. He grins and says: "Yes, brother. We can rid you of your curse."
Panel 3 – Hark continues to smile as he explains to Eldan, while the magic inside the orb begins to swirl like a cyclone. He says: "You would be free of that bane and its burden. No threat on this continent would dare attack the Empire, as they once dared. With you by my side. Wileding the full power you once possessed."
Panel 4 – Hark says: "All you need to do is give up on that pointless task and hand the dragon over to me." As he speaks, Eldan looks apprehensively at his cursed arm.

Panels 1-3 - Harkillan smiles broadly and confidently, continuing: "Once it is brought here I will arrange—" Eldannalir interrupts him, saying, "I refuse." Hark pauses for a moment, displeased, and the orb stops swirling. Then he asks with distaste: "What?!" his orb now completely dark.
Panel 4: Eldan says, looking directly at Hark with a serious expression: "I appreciate your proposition, brother. But I won't accept it."
Panel 5: Eldan begins to stand up and leave, while Hark continues to look displeased. Eldan says: "I hope you understand. It was good to see you."
Panel 6: Eldan says: "Have a pleasant day." Hark lowers his head, displeased by his brother's choice.
Panel 7: Harkillan stands up and slams his hands onto the table; his orb crackles with lightning and a thunderclap sounds. He exclaims: "I don't understand you!"
Panel 8: Hark shouts at Eldan, who is walking toward the exit with a troubled expression. Hark shouts: "You are far from the great general I once knew! What has changed, brother? Less than a decade ago, you would have welcomed such an offer with open arms!"

Panel 1 - Harkillan shouts, now at a distance from Eldannalir, who is already at the door: "Instead, you refuse it! Choosing to remain acting as the caretaker of that..."
Panel 2 - Hark continues: "Monster!" Upon hearing this, Eldan tightens his grip on the doorknob and stops.
Panel 3 - Eldan turns around and says: "She is not a monster."
Panels 4 and 5 - Hark looks surprised to hear this. Then, he seems to understand what is happening, saying, "Oh, brother."
Panel 6 - Hark taunts Eldan, who is standing in the doorway: "Don't tell me you've grown fond of that creature. Has it become your pet? Or perhaps... No..."
Panel 7 - Hark speaks with a mocking smile: "Please, Do you dolefully hope you could treat it as your—"
Panel 8 - Eldan cuts him off with a "No." He then continues with a troubled, serious expression: "I know I couldn't..."
Panel 9 - A close-up of the orb on the table, now completely dark again. Eldan continues: "I may not know exactly what she is... yet. But I intend to find out. Without abandoning her. For I know the duty I swore to uphold."

Panel 1 - Eldannalir finishes speaking with his back to Harkillan, who stands further down the table, wearing a resolute yet troubled expression: "I will continue to take care of her. And fulfill my duty for the good of the Colony. I hope you'll do the same."
Panel 2 - Eldan says goodbye, the door already open for his departure. "Farewell. Brother."
Panel 3 - Hark sits back down at the table, his hand over his face, looking disappointed and frustrated with his brother.
Panels 4-8 - Hark remains with his hand over his face, looking disappointed. He then begins to think: "Fulfill my duty? Well..."
He smiles, and his magic orb begins to spark. "You leave me no choice, Eldannalir." Hark extends his hand over the orb, with small sparks reaching toward his fingers.
Panel 9 - Harkillan stands up, holding the orb in his hands; bolts of lightning fly around him, whipping his cloak and hair about. He smiles contentedly and says: "I will make sure to fulfill my duty... No matter what!"
