Rest in peace Dick Patterson. He played the lottery emcee in "Death Hits the Jackpot". #Columbo

@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.socialHappy birthday to JoAnna Cameron, who turned heads as Dick Van Dyke's assistant in "Negative Reaction". Later she starred as Isis. #Columbo
@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.socialIt's probably 50-50 that Wayne Jennings gets convicted on this charge. I mean, every woman in the episode throws themselves at him. So, if he gets a female DA....🤷♂️ #Columbo
More seriously, that's part of why I have this episode ranked so low.
@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.social"A Friend in Deed" is an unusual #Columbo in one respect - he never really adopts the bumbling fawning novice persona that he uses to disarm suspects in other episodes, like "Requiem for a Falling Star". His wife isn't a fan of the Commissioner. He's...
@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.social"Agenda for Murder" is probably McGoohan's second-best #Columbo performance. And it was nice to see Bruce Kirby back as Sgt. Kramer too.
@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.socialIn Season 1's "Murder by the Book" Jim's final words are "This will be the last time..." And it was. #Columbo
@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.socialWhich episode guide am I working on now? Well...
@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.social"The Bye Bye Sky High I.Q. Murder Case" is starting on Universal Crime. I have it ranked as my #44 #Columbo episode and features Theodore Bikel murdering Sorrell Booke (Better known as "Boss Hogg" from The Dukes of Hazzard") in a club full of geniuses.
@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.socialHaqppy birthday to Columni Richard Drout Miller. He had a tiny role as a reporter in "The Most Dangerous Match". #Columbo
@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.socialSam Jaffee, who plays the elderly husband Janet Leigh murders in Season 5's "Forgotten Lady" was, in real life, married to Bettye Ackerman. Her name might not be familiar, but she played Miss Sherman in S1's "Blueprint for Murder". #Columbo
"Yes, it is."

@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.socialIn "Now You See Him" Jack Cassidy tries to persuade #Columbo that the murder was a professional hit ordered by organized crime. It's not the first time he tries that tack...he tried to point Columbo that way in "Murder by the Book" too.
@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.socialI need to go to bed, but "Swan Song" is on...and that means "A Friend in Deed" is up next, followed by "An Exercise in Fatality".
If I don't go to bed now, I'll be up half the night! #Columbo
@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.socialIn "Sex and the Married Detective", Leeza Vinnichenko plays the flirty cleaning lady. 15 years later she did ADR voice work on "The Bourne Supremacy". #Columbo
