Kemi Badenoch is a damned hypocrite.
I seem to remember her saying maternity pay was "excessive," but now she comes out with this childcare policy?
Will the real Kemi Badenoch please stand up.

Kemi Badenoch indulging in Tory Neoliberal wishful thinking that if benefits are cut jobs will magically appear
Meanwhile more money for better off
Judging who is worthy and unworthy; how Victorian ?
What next eugenics ?

#BBCLauraK #Badenoch wants to be seen as an "old school #Tory" The type that sold our public services to private equity? And sold off our stock of council housing? And she thinks we want more of that?

Today's #UnityRally in Victoria Square, #Birmingham took place in glorious sunshine

Well over 1000 people attended chanting FOR community & diversity & AGAINST racism & division #StandUpToRacism

Just handful of Fascists turned up with huge union flags

I am besmoggled. How can the lovely ‘Bel write about these flights, if she doesn’t believe they exist? I was hoping #bbclaurak would ask Isa’s beau, Dick, this morning, but nothing transpired.

The utter state of the Green Party under Polanski’s “leadership” #BBClaurak

#GoodMorning. ☕

Badenoch says she'll keep the triple lock because "people have contributed." Her party froze it for three years, costing pensioners £36bn. Now she wants to "tackle the root cause" of low growth after 14 years of Tory stagnation.
Late conversion. 💀#BBCLauraK

#BBCLauraK: “Well we chased up Kemi Badenoch’s team to see if they could say how many people are cheating the benefits system, as she promised. They didn’t not give us an overall figure but they said nearly £10bn is paid fraudulently or in error”

Badenoch, like a lot of right wing Tories, is really quite stupid.
Either she rehearsed that interview in a mirror or it genuinely never occurred to her that even #BBCLauraK would ask her for figures.

#BBCLauraK Kemi Badenoch talks about people earning more than £100K as working harder than those who earn less. Essential workers like teachers & nurses work incredibly hard & won’t earn that kind of money. To talk of the wealthier as working harder is disingenuous & insulting.

#BBCLauraK As a tax payer, am I really paying for Kemi Badenoch (with 3 kids) to rent a 6 bedroom place in her constituency? I’d like to know, please. #Expenses

LK chased up KB's team for the figures Kemi wasn't able to provide, but they could only give some vague numbers.

And Kemi is still on Laura's Christmas card list. 🤷‍♀️

#BBCLauraK What? People earning millions should get free childcare? As a single childless person, I’m expected to work to fund free childcare for millionaires? Not how I want my taxes used, thanks. Typical Tory policy of looking after the wealthiest.

#BBCLauraK Why is looking after your own children talked about as a lesser option than putting them into childcare? Why does everyone have to work & be encouraged to let others look after their kids? #ChildCare
