One can accept the inevitable approach of the #autumnal years, provided one is not beckoned to affirm when those years begin.

Why yes, I'm an #autumnal #freak
As an October kid, Fall is peak
But Pumpkin Spice sucks
So fuck off, Starbucks
Halloween's what I crave, bring the shriek!

Beneath the lush thicket of #autumnal splendor, dishonest Stanley’s corpse quietly became a smorgasbord for indigenous vermin.

And its that time... to settle and enjoy the end of the day. Happy.... #vss365 #haiku

#autumnal sunrise
Gentle warmth cuts morning dampness
Inviting you in

A SENSITIVE AND THOUGHTFUL SEASONAL MEDITATION

The Summer sold dreams, and we bought 'em,
but now we have drifted to Autumn;
migrating birds call
and many leaves fall -
the branches just cannot support 'em.

"What shall we eat during #autumnal equinox this year?"
"I'm thinking leaves."
"Like... salad?"
"No. Like the colorful leaves that fall from trees."
"Hah. Good one."
"I'm 100% serious."
"Oh...Umm...What wine pairs well with tree leaves?"
"Whisky."

Saying goodbye to summer is distressing
So fall puts on a show that’s quite impressing
Autumnal brilliance
Gives me resilience
To overcome dread of winter’s depressing

dress code #autumnal,
of burnt reds and precious gold,
fall is in fashion.

"If she is ancient. What are we?" Venarius walked back to the sofa and fell on it again. Agorius glanced at the mirror and counted the furrows on his face. "Margo used to say that we are #autumnal relics. Too scared to walk into the winter, and so we just cling here." #vss365

Was it that dinner
that poisoned me
those mushrooms
served up with a sweet sauce
or was it all those wild walks
with agitated conversations
so fraught
was it my cold heart
at the start of Fall
when leaves turned brown
and lay on the ground
with an autumn scent

profound words

by scores of poets

Summer forgot herself
last evening, breathed
a chill that whispered
of an #autumnal guest
gracefully descending
as upon a grand stair.

She rains today, thundering
vicious, uncloaking the sun
only to boil us--
but in her own time,
a visitor herself,
she too will depart.

Ah, the deep reds and burnt oranges of #autumnal Mars. Even better considering: the local #money grows on trees. You're going to need that Martian green to buy #rubber boots from the Earthlings, essential when fighting them in the trenches. Boot up, don't #flip out.
