HOT SEPTEMBER🥵 When you average out all the afternoon and morning temps, this has been BY FAR the warmest Sept. on record here in LR.

And considering we still have highs in the lower 90s through the last days of October, I think it's pretty much guaranteed to keep that ranking. #ARwx #ARStormTeam

A sprinkle or shower may be possible through Monday morning... But overall, the week ahead looks warmer and largely dry as rain passes us by to our west.

But next wknd, there are signs that we could get some more widespread beneficial moisture! We're keeping our fingers crossed. #ARwx #ARStormTeam

RAIN CHANCES📈 While most of this upcoming week's rain will be focused well to our west.. Models still show the rain eventually getting here at some point!

The question is timing. As of now, the weekend looks more favorable. But parts of western AR could get some a little sooner. #ARStormTeam #ARwx

Beautiful view from our Entergy tower cam, looking out across western Pulaski County from Shinall Mountain.

But those aren't fall colors you're seeing... Those trees are rain-starved! #ARwx #ARStormTeam

NEXT WEEK👀 Models continue to suggest that next week's heaviest rainfall will stay to our west, perhaps clipping parts of NW Arkansas.

That would leave much of the state dry with perhaps just a few occasional showers each day. Stay with the #ARStormTeam for updates through the coming days. #ARwx

Another great shot of cloud iridescence, which occurs when the sun beams through high, thin cirrus clouds creating this rainbow-like feature in the sky.

Thanks to Joseph Edelen for sharing this picture from Hensley. #ARwx #ARStormTeam

Another cool, dry night is in store through Friday morning before temperatures gradually climb this weekend.

The warmth sticks around through much of next week with slight rain chances each day. Rain chances may be a little greater into mid and late-week. #ARwx #ARStormTeam

21 YEARS AGO🌀 Hurricane #Rita made landfall as a major hurricane near the Texas/Louisiana state line, spreading flooding rain and tornadoes far inland.

Rita spawned dozens of tornadoes across Arkansas, Mississippi and Louisiana. #ARwx #LAwx #TXwx #tropics

Today's high, thin cirrus clouds have created lots of little rainbow-like formations in the clouds as the sun shines through, creating this prism effect.

This is called cloud iridescence! Thanks so much to Gary S Baber for sharing this picture from Hot Springs. #ARwx #ARStormTeam
