And this is a country with the largest national economy in the world. American universities lead medical global research and development. Yet, parts of it are still stuck in the 16th century and still using witch doctors….. FFS.

But when this stuff comes from politicians, and not generals. You're correct in your assumption, they're not making the Army faster and more capable to make its own decisions. They're putting layers of slow 9-2 Decision makers in the way of the kill chain.

Valid. However, as you likely know, the military is one of the most bureaucratic systems out there 😂 - but they understand that nearly everything is time sensitive. So really bureaucracy is not the problem. More organization doesn't inherently make someone slow. Crap policies do.
