Rail prices puzzle: a return ticket from Aberystwyth to Kirkcaldy (with my old person Railcard) costs £85 and a return from Kirkcaldy to Markinch (next stop, a few miles) is £7. Yet a return from Aberystwyth to Markinch costs £150. This is utter madness.

A woman in her 30s was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
