Normal ppl: I don’t want AI to take my job, steal artists’ work, prevent my kids’ from learning critical thinking, tell ppl to hurt themselves/eat poison. Data centers are bad. Rationalists: AI will turn all humans into paperclips. I must be the 1st to create it or I’ll become the worst paper clip
